The INAF Brera Astronomical Observatory is organizing a series of monthly meetings for 2025 on the topic of violence and gender issues in academic and non-academic settings, titled “When Gender Violence Does Not Exist.”
Sixth Conference Title: “The Role of Family Health Centers in Women’s Health and the Prevention of Gender Violence”

Abstract: The meeting will begin with the situation in the Lecco area, providing an overview of family health centers, the services they offer, and their scope of action, leading to considerations at the regional and national levels. We will address what family health centers currently offer to support women victims of violence and what they hope for in the future. Regarding the culture and stereotypes underlying gender violence, we will discuss the importance of education on affectivity and sexuality, delivered by experts in the field, in schools, without neglecting the role of parents and current laws.
