2026, June 18 – Today, Maria Cristina Baglio, our colleague at the Observatory’s Merate headquarters, received the 24th L’Oreal UNESCO Prize for Women in Science.

“From the limited female representation in STEM disciplines to the risk that artificial intelligence could perpetuate stereotypes and inequalities. These are some of the issues that emerged in Milan at the 24th Italian edition of the ‘L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science’ award, which honored six young researchers selected from over 400 applications from across Italy.”
