Abstract: Who decides on women’s bodies? And why, even today, does their freedom remain a matter of contention? A journey through the battles, victories, and resistance that have marked the history of women’s self-determination. From sexuality to motherhood, from desire to freedom of choice, to recognize how the control of bodies has represented an instrument of power and how women have been able to counter it, transforming their experience into a collective struggle. Because the body is never merely a private matter, but a terrain on which the possibility of being free is measured. And the battles fought in the past help us understand those that remain open in the present. bodies has represented an instrument of power and how women have been able to counter it, transforming their experience into a collective struggle. Because the body is never merely a collective struggle. Because the body is never merely a private matter, but a terrain on which private matters are measured, but a terrain on which the possibility of being free is measured. And battles, the possibility of being free. And the battles fought in the past help us to read those that remain open in the present.
