Building the largest map of the cosmos – Media INAF

A catalog of over 380 thousand galaxies, a loto of gravitational lenses and many other cosmic wonders come to light in the three Euclid Deep Fields, made public today as part of the Quick Data Release 1 of the Esa Euclid mission. With comments from some of the Italian researchers involved in the great “construction site” that is building the largest and most precise atlas of the universe ever created.

Our observatory, with the group of Ben Granett, Andrea Pezzotta, Ilaria Risso, Antonio Farina and Alfonso Verapalumbo, together with Stefano Andreon and with the important collaboration of Gigi Guzzo of Milano 1 (and associated INAF-OABrera) is making a major contribution – Read the full story on Media INAF
