Guido Chincarini – A key figure in our institute in the 90s and a leading scientist in international astrophysics, he passed away on August 5, 2024.
The current set-up of many research activities (and not only) for which the Observatory is famous throughout the world were set up, organized and strongly desired by Guido during his Directorship, from 1985 to 2001.
We all remember him and thank him.
