Description

The aim of the thesis is to apply the techniques developed to study and characterize exoplanets’ atmospheres to high-resolution spectra of Solar System bodies in order to study their atmospheric composition, variability, dynamics, and the possible relation of these observables to geological activities in the case of rocky planets/satellites.
This work will help to characterize the Solar System bodies themselves and to better understand the results from the exoplanets’ observations.
The data used will be partly retrieved from public archives and partly obtained with dedicated observations.
