{"id":4212,"date":"2024-06-11T12:45:45","date_gmt":"2024-06-11T10:45:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brera.inaf.it\/?post_type=progetti_ricerca&#038;p=4212"},"modified":"2024-11-28T16:55:31","modified_gmt":"2024-11-28T15:55:31","slug":"prisma","status":"publish","type":"progetti_ricerca","link":"https:\/\/brera.inaf.it\/en\/progetti_ricerca\/prisma\/","title":{"rendered":"PRISMA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-995f960e wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" src=\"http:\/\/brera.inaf.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Progetti-OAB-800x800-prisma.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1007\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PRISMA<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>P<\/strong>rima <strong>R<\/strong>ete <strong>I<\/strong>taliana per la <strong>S<\/strong>orveglianza sistematica di <strong>M<\/strong>eteore e <strong>A<\/strong>tmosfera &#8211; First Italian Network for Systematic Supervision of Meteors and Atmosphere<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SHORT DESCRIPTION<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PRISMA<\/strong> is a project started in 2016 that consists of an <strong>Italian network<\/strong> of all-sky cameras for the observation of bright meteors (fireballs and bolides), in order to determine the orbits of the objects that cause them and to delimit, with a good degree of approximation, the areas of possible fall of fragments in order to recover the meteorites.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Systematic monitoring of <strong>cloud cover<\/strong> and <strong>electrical activity<\/strong> will be used for the validation of <strong>weather models<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The systematically collected data will contribute to the refinement of the models of interaction of cosmic bodies with the atmosphere which to date still present many gaps due to the lack of quality observational data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PRISMA is an <strong>open<\/strong> project involving researchers from the National Institute of Astrophysics and Universities, Amateur Astronomers Groups and regional and local Astronomical and Meteorological Observatories. Schools are also involved with an educational program and astronomy laboratories that aim to involve students and individual citizens in the project&#8217;s research activities, side by side with researchers.
