The Observatory’s historic building is located in Milan’s Palazzo Brera in the city center.
In Palazzo Brera there are also the Pinacoteca, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Braidense Library, the Botanical Garden and the Istituto Lombardo Accademia di Scienze e Lettere.
How to reach us
by train
From your arrival station take the underground (MM) direction city center.
Suggested stops:
- Montenapoleone – Line 3 (yellow). If open take the entrance in via Fiori Scuri n.4.
- Lanza – Line 2 (green)
- Cairoli – Line 1 (red)
- Duomo – Line 1 (red) or Line 3 (yellow). About 15 minutes by foot.

by car
- Brera street, in the CONGESTION CHARGE – AREA C (you have to pay to enter, see Area C), is a promenade street.
- There are no parking places near Palazzo Brera
From the highways A1-A4-A7-A8-A9 along the ring road you’ll find the parking lots in correspondence to the underground stations.
